Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD) is a global biopharmaceutical company, engaged in the research, development and manufacturing of medicines and vaccines. Latvia faces a significant public health challenge with HIV.

One of MSD's social responsibility priorities in Latvia is to support HIV diagnostics and reduce societal stigma against people living with HIV.

We developed several campaigns that aimed to increase HIV testing, expanded public understanding, and fostered broader discussions about the nature of HIV infection and its consequences. This included survey-based insights, publicity in traditional media, and engagement through selected community channels.

The LEAD team has invaluable experience in creating healthcare communication, where great importance is placed on the accuracy of facts, responsible handling of sensitive topics, and human empathy. They helped us strengthen public understanding of HIV and reduce the stigma associated with it by developing a smart communication strategy. We especially value their ability to facilitate dialogue with stakeholders to collaboratively support an improved care environment for people living with HIV in Latvia.
